Parent Child Attachment Play

This is a gentle play-based approach aimed at improving the attachment quality of the parent-child relationship using attachment mechanisms and child-oriented play with parents/carers and their children aged 3- 15+ years.

PCAP practitioners work with the parent(s) or carer(s) and not directly with the child(ren).

Irish Foster Care Association Conferences are great events and highly commended by IAIA members. They are wonderfully inclusive with programs for Children, Teenagers, Families, Carers and Professionals. This year’s conference theme is ‘Fostering Stability’. There will be 29 workshops over three days with a separate children and young people’s programme. The conference brings together all those with an interest in foster care. This years conference will offer scope to explore how the system can better support stability for children in foster care and look at many aspects of practice and policy of relevance to this theme
